I have just about had it with militant atheists and their zeppelin-sized heads. I really don't have a problem with people nurturing views contrary to mine, but the minute you claim that your opinion makes you a better person than me, and that people who share my views are a bunch of ignoramuses who are stuck in the so-called "Dark Ages" and that I secretly want to burn alive and torture Muslims and Jews, you lose all the credibility you may have had before.

To clear things up, atheists are not smarter than the rest of the populace. Every single person in my church congregation over the age of 18 is either in college or a college graduate; on the other hand, I personally know at least five atheists IRL who have never set foot in a college classroom.

I recognize that a majority of atheists are not like this, but those that are really need to shut the hell up and stop pretending that they are the only people privy to the truth of life. You're making friendly, rational atheists look bad.

This is ideologically sensitive, but I won't mark it as such because I don't care if I offend people.

EDIT: Wow, I expected to get a lot of flack for this, but lo and behold, it's one of the most popular things I've ever done!

You had me rather annoyed until I read "You're making friendly, rational atheists look bad." For that, I can actually thank you. At least you recognize those of us who wouldn't go around blindly hating on theists.
Though that quote of yours makes Atheists sound conceited. ¬_¬ Sadly, I don't really know that many other Atheists so I have no argument against that, but it still irks me. -_- I, for one, do not hold myself above anyone else.

( unless your a dude then GO BRO!!!) i find most atheiests think their smarter than christians but really even they know that there is more evidence tawords the support of christianity than there is to cleopatra or any other of those people and besides at the end of the day your life would be a sad existance without God. its as if your meaninglless you have no purpose in life ...your just another useless organism with no worth ....

Atheists who think they're smarter than theists are just as ridiculous as theists who think their smarter than Atheists. Belief or lack there of does not determine one's intellegence.
And thank you, but frankly the same thing can be said about theists. It seems rather sad to live a miserable life so you can be happy once you're dead. As far as purpose goes, I for one put my own purpose into my life. Simply put, I want to take what I've learned and I want to use it to make life better for others. I want to be the friend of those who feel they have no friends, and I want to learn as much as I can so that I can create things for the world to use. I want to try to make people happy. Does that sound so meaningless to you?

Forgive me if this comes across as a rant. :/ I'm rather tired at the moment.
